Mary Esther UMC serves as a Cold Night Shelter for the homeless population on any Monday evening when the temperature is expected to be 40 degrees or below. We open at 4pm and provide dinner, warm showers, a place to sleep and breakfast the next morning. Volunteers are always needed for 2 hour shifts to help with set-up, monitoring of showers, meal preparation and clean-up. High school students who may need volunteer hours are welcome to come and help out. You may sign-up on the Sunday prior to the Monday when the shelter will be open. Carol Crosby will be located in the Fellowship Hall on that Sunday. For further information, please contact Carol Crosby at 862-0254. Thank you for your support of this important ministry.
